In Slovenia, we have learnt about PRESENTATION SKILLS
Here are the students' testimonials
« I learned a lot of things about Slovenia, for example the cities we visited , Maribor (being the second biggest city of Slovenia) and Ljubljana , being the capital of Slovenia. I also learned things about what Slovenian people eat and drink. In Maribor , we had the chance to learn the history of the city in a really unique , fun and interesting way. We had to play an escape game : we had a book which was locked with 4 locks. To unlock each of them, we had to solve puzzles written on the book and to solve them , we had to go around the city to find clues. The weather was incredible, it was snowing ( still funny and cool to see the snow once again). Overall it was an amazing day and experience in Ljubljana, we got a tour of the city , to be more precise about the castle. The castle was located on a mountain/hill, so we had a great view of the capital. It was a really interesting and enjoyable day.
What I preferred in Slovenia ? I can’t really choose something I preferred because everything we did was just amazing and unforgettable. But , if I had to choose what I preferred, it would be easily the Slovenian people. The people in Slovenia were one of the kindest people I've ever met. They were really welcoming and gave us « happy » vibes. Everywhere I went , they were happy and welcoming with us.
What surprised me the most
I’ll be honest, before going to Slovenia, I thought my stay would be very quiet because it was in a village. Little did I know that I never had so much fun before. Even though it was not like Paris , where there are shops everywhere, I still had a great time with people ( which are now my good friends) from other countries. That was what surprised me the most.I’ve never had so much fun like this before
What will I always remember
Everything, this mobility is something that I will never, ever forget. It was such a unique experience, it is now part in my « unforgettable » list. I learned so much in a matter of a week either it was about the country itself , about my friends from other countries , and most importantly about the art of presenting. The individual presentation from either the students , the teachers and the entrepreneurs were things that were really interesting. For the last mobility in London , I will gladly use everything I learned in Slovenia.
I hope de the next and last mobility in London will be even better than in Slovenia but is it possible ?
This was my honest opinion about Slovenia. " Joshua
« I learned a lot of things in Slovenia, like the stories about the monuments, their way of life and a lot of things about the capital. Especially during group presentations, we learned about local food from Slovenia, monuments and cities. They have a lot of sweet desserts like the potica, kremsnita( bled cream slice), and many others desserts and they also have strudel which is so typical in Slovenia. Meals are often composed of meats and potatoes. And often their breads are replaced by brioches. In Slovenia we eat a snack at 11 o’clock and lunch at 13-14 o’clock.
The population of Slovenia is 2 million inhabitants. The city where there are the most inhabitants is the capital Ljubljana. We saw a lot of monuments and visited a lot of famous places like the : Ljubljana castle, Preseren square, Ljubljana old town and the plague column at Maribor.
What I really liked about this trip were the group presentations, because we all worked together as a team. We had to present touristic packages about Slovenia. We learned a lot about other places, that we could not see or visit like : st Nicholas cathedral, the dragon bridge, the Predjama castle and many other monuments and beautiful places. I liked to visit the cities, because all the things that there are in Slovenia are very different from France. I learned stories about some places.
I loved the day when all the countries had to present their projects, because we all had a different and really interesting project. What surprised me the most is the escape room, it was so interesting to find clues and visit Maribor at the same time. What I will never forget, it is that Slovenia is a very calm and beautiful country, we were very well received, almost everyone in Slovenia speaks very good English which helps me a lot to enrich my English. The monuments are very beautiful and we made a lot of beautiful meetings. Thank you so much for this wonderful trip. » Sardonna
« In Slovenia I learned how to make a powerpoint with transitions effects and how to capture the attention of public without making a boring presentation. What I preferred was the city of Maribor because it was so beautiful with the snow and there are a lot of things you can do in Maribor : you go to the mountain and just see all Maribor. Or just go shopping to Europark . I have a lot of souvenirs in this town with my host family and the other students. The most surprising was the food because in this country you eat a lot :four to five time in the day. All this trip was incredible the things I will always remember is the party,my host family and every moment that I spend with them and of course all the people from all the other countries. » Benoît.
« We learned a lot of things in Slovenia, we learned how to cummunicate effectively in public with a presentation of Simon Sôvic, in Benedikt. There were 2 CEOs talking about their business and they gave us some good tips.
The best for me was the visit of Ljubljana. We were all together visiting the capital of Slovenia. And we really enjoyed it. It's a very beautiful
city even in winter with a lot of snow. It was also very cold but good.
The most surprising thing was actually the snow. I didn't except to see a lot of snow. It was really impressive because Slovenia is known as a green
country and not white with snow. I will always remember the final party. I really enjoyed it, everybody was there and everybody was happy even if at the end everyone was crying because it was the last time we saw each others. » Stefan
« In Slovenia, I have learned a lot of words in English ,some words Slovenian and some tips to selling our App. What I really enjoyed was the visit to the castle in Ljubljana, playing bowling with my friends, going to the shopping mall and the escape room in Maribor. I also loved it when we had lunch at the top floor in the beautiful building with the restaurant 10 where we had a magnificent view of Ljubljana. I loved the school as well, it is very clean everywhere, and I enjoyed shopping : the things you can buy are not expensive compared to paris. I will always remember my host family who are super nice with me and the pyjama party, where I danced for the first time. » Hao
